Maple Cinnamon Morning Brew

I’m sharing one of my favorite go to morning brews today…it’s simple and fast, yet tastes rich and comforting. Perfect for those chilly spring mornings when you’re up with the sun to get kiddos ready for school or farm animals fed and watered before work 🙂

I’ve been trying to cut out refined white sugar and I’ve tried a few different options, but maple syrup has been my favorite and in my opinion it’s a wonderful substitute! I like my coffee sweet sweet sweet and it does the job well. For those of you who don’t like sweet, you can either omit the maple syrup all-together or add just enough to your liking. So here goes!

Step One~

Drag your tired beautiful self out of bed…this is always the hardest step for me to accomplish😂Don’t worry, once you smell that delicious goodness it will all be worth it!😉


Brew coffee (told you I would keep it simple😉) I’m using a French press here just because it’s more fun and much prettier than my drip coffee maker, so whatever you have on hand is great! I use 1 heaping tablespoon of ground coffee per cup of cold water…


Add desired amount of maple syrup (I use a little less than 2 tablespoons), a few shakes of cinnamon and a small dash of vanilla to your coffee cup. Then add a little hot coffee and mix well, allowing the cinnamon to dissolve and blend into the maple syrup. A fun way to mix up this recipe is to replace the cinnamon with pumpkin spice~always a favorite in the fall.


Add cream, half and half, milk, coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk, or whatever ya like! There’s really no right or wrong way to do this!
